Venugopal Reddy announced the Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) on Tuesday. Around 90% students cleared the exam. A total of 91,467 candidates appeared for PGECET exam, candidates qualifies for admissions. Around 36,000 seats are available for M.E, M.Tech, M.Pharm and M.Arch courses. PGECET 2016 was conducted by University college of Engineering, Osmania University on behalf of A.P. State Council Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission on to the PG Courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy and Planning. Click here to download the PGECET rankcard. "The examination was conducted from May 22 to May 25 and the results were declared within a week. It is a record," said Osmania university vice-chancellor S.Satyanarayana. Venugopal Reddy cautioned that engineering colleges have to cut down on not-so-popular courses at the PG level. Specialisations in courses such as pharmaceutical chemistry and traditional courses such as civil and mechanical engineering seem to have lost favour with job-seekers, he said.OUPGE CET - 2016:- Osmania University Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance test notification is issued the OU.
