About of MPBOU:-It is a public state university and simply known as Bhoj University. The university provides the education in various faculties such as Arts, Agriculture, Ayurveda, Banking, Commerce, Science, Engineering, Education, Law, Accounting and Management. It offers various degree and diploma level courses such as BA, BCOM, BSC, BBA, BCA, MCA, MBA, MA, MCOM, MSC, M.Ed, B.Ed, MCA, B.Pharma, M.Pharma etc. The university conducts the written examination according to semester format and also conducts the annual examination. This year the university has been conducted the written examination for B.Ed/D.Ed/M.Ed courses and now the university will soon announced the result on its official website at www.bhojvirtualuniversity.com or www.mponline.gov.in.
The National Policy of Education (NPE) 1986, emphasized that distance education is an important medium for the development and promotion of higher education. In this context, for the expansion and promotion of distance education the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE), Government of India took an important decision that in the VIIIth year plan every state should establish a state open university following the distance education pattern. On this basis Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University (MPBOU) was established under an Act of State Assembly in 1991
