The Government of Andhra Pradesh has the distinction of establishing the first University of Health Sciences fulfilling the recommendations of several committees.Thus the “Andhra Pradesh University of Health Sciences” was established by the Act.No. 6 of the Andhra Pradesh legislature and was inaugurated on 9-4-1986 by the late Sri N.T. Rama Rao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.The University of Health Sciences started functioning at Vijayawada from 01-11-1986. After the death of its founder Sri N.T. Rama Rao the University was named after him as NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh with effect from 2.2.98 vide Act No.4 of 1998. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has the distinction of establishing the first University of Health Sciences fulfilling the recommendations of several committees. The University is governed by the Executive Council, the Finance Committee, the Boards of Studies, the Academic Senate and the Planning Board. The University has Graduate, Post-Graduate Degree and Diploma and Super Specialty courses in Modern Medicine, Graduate and PG Degrees Courses in Dental Surgery, Nursing, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Unani, Graduate degree courses in Naturopathy, Physiotherapy and Medical Lab Technology and PG course in M.Sc.Applied Nutrition.Andhra Pradesh with effect from 2.2.98 vide Act No.4 of 1998.NTR University of Health Sciences results are available on Indiaresults.com as well.

NTRUHS MBBS BDS Medical Counselling 2016 at ntruhs.ap.nic.in: DR.NTR University of Health Sciences has issued the counseling notification for the academic year 2016-15. The official notification was released on 26th August 2016 where DR. NTR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES is going to conduct the counseling for all EAMCET-2016 qualified candidates from 30th August 2016 to 5th September 2016. The counseling process is going to be conducted in 5 help line centers i.e. the process is conducted on Andhra University Vishakhapatnam, JNTU Hyderabad, kakathiya health university Warangal, SV university thirupathi and DR.NTR health university Vijayawada. The counseling is carried out from 1st rank to 25000 ranks more over candidates can approach in any one of the above mentioned counseling center according to the possibility of the students. While going for counseling candidates should bring all required document.

candidate should pass in Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent examination with Chemistry, Physics, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / English and Biotechnology and for OC candidates should have 50% marks in science subjects. Where as for BC/SC/ST aspirants should have 40% marks in science subjects and candidate should have qualified in EAMCET-2016 with 50% marks (80 marks) in EAMCET -2016 for OC candidates and BC/SC/ST candidates should have 40% marks (64 marks) in EAMCET -2016 and for OC PH candidates should have 45% marks (72 marks) in EAMCET -2016.
