About the Institute

The journey of Centurion began in 2005 by a group of ambitious professionals having aspirations to take it to the pinnacle of quality education, nationally and internationally. The first foray in this respect was the takeover of a failing engineering college in Parlakhemundi, Gajapati: the Jagannath Institute for Technology and Management (JITM). Gajapati is the poorest district of Odisha State, and appears in the Prime Minister's "100 poorest districts" and "31 most extremist affected districts" list. Since then, committed efforts have been made to bring about a difference to this area; both academically and socio-economically.

Today, the Centurion University has five campuses at Paralakhemundi, Bhubaneswar, Bolangir, Rayagada, and Chatrapur offering B. Tech., MBA, MDM, +2 Science, ITI, Primary and Secondary Education in addition to Skill and Vocational Training and Social Entrepreneurship initiatives.

The focus has been and shall remain the conduit for ameliorating livelihood through self-employment unemployability of marginalised communities of rural and remote areas. The University will continue to address the problem of naxalism, which is considered to be more a socio-economic challenge than a law and order issue. The Centurion University's training programmes have also been nationally recognised. In August 2010, Gram Tarang Employability Training Services has received the "Best Skills Project in Rural Communities" award at the UK-India Skills Forum Awards 2010.

B.Tech - Lateral (3 Years): Pass in three years diploma courses in Engineering with at least 50% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education & Vocation Training of any state or Pass or appearing in 2016, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of three years duration in science from any university of India or equivalent recognized by UGC and have passed with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with mathematics at +3 level Result of final diploma examination must be available on the date of counseling B.Sc with Integrated M.Sc (5 Years): Pass in 10+2 Science, an academic career with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology / Information Technology B.Sc Agriculture (4 Years): 10+2 science or equivalent with PCB 50% and also in aggregate other criteria shall be as per provisions of the University, formulated for the purpose from time to time Entrance Test: CUEE / OUAT / ICAR or any other National Level Entrance Test M.Tech (2 Years): Must have qualified Bachelor of Technology Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering of the university or a degree recognized as equivalent to it by the University Should satisfy the criteria fixed by the Academic Council for the purpose of admission such as: Valid GATE Score Valid PGET Rank Card Percentage marks or Cumulative Grade Point Average based on the performance at the B.Tech examination School of Management Master of Business Administration (MBA) (2 years), (offer at Bhubaneswar) Master of Development Management (MDM) (2 years) at CSREM (offer at Paralakhemundi) The School of Management under Centurion University of Technology and Management offers 2 years full time residential Masters of Business Administration (MBA) which is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India with 120 seats in Bhubaneswar Campus Specializations in Finance, Marketing & Human Resource Eligibility Criteria: Pass or appearing in 2016 for the Bachelor's degree exam in any discipline from any University of India or equivalent recognized by UGC There is no age limit for admission to MBA course Those appearing for the final year examinations may also apply provided they will complete all the course work by July 2016 and get their certificates by December 2016 Candidates should have qualified in any of the nationally accepted entrance tests like CAT/XAT/MAT/CET of states; preference of candidates will be in the order of the tests mentioned In case of tie, the marks obtained in graduation will be taken into consideration Reservation of seats will be as per statutory rules effective at the time of admission Selection through Entrance (CUEE-2016) There will be a common Entrance examination for selection of the candidates for admission into B.Tech Centurion University Entrance Examination (CUEE), a National Level Entrance Test is conducted every year by University to select meritorious students for its B.Tech programs from different parts of the country This entrance is specially designed to provide an opportunity to the engineering aspirants intending to take admission in the constituent campuses located at Paralakhemundi & Bhubaneswar Centurion University Entrance Examination (CUEE), a National Level Entrance Test is conducted every year to select students for admission into B.Tech Regular, Lateral and B.Sc.
