The Union Public Service Commission consists of a Chairman and ten Members to conduct its process. The terms and conditions of service of Chairman and all the Members are governed by Union Public Service Commission (Members) Regulations, 1969. All the members of the commission are appointed by the President of India.
The members of the Commission consists of some of the Civil Servants Having a minimum of ten years experience either in Central or State service.
The Commission also has a Secretariat which is headed by a Secretary having Additional Secretaries, a number of Joint Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries and other supporting staff.
